Alert Issued For Most Wanted Long Island First-Degree Robbery Suspect

An alert has been issued by police investigators on Long Island as they attempt to locate one of their most wanted suspects.

Mauricio Cruz is wanted by the Suffolk County Police Department for felony violation of probation after his arrest for first-degree robbery with a firearm.

It is further alleged that Cruz removed a GPS monitoring bracelet and left it on the side of the road in November last year.

According to police, Cruz has a history of violence and is believed to be in the Flanders area off of Flanders Road. Investigators noted that he has a tattoo of a Snapchat ghost on his left ring finger.

A reward has been issued by Suffolk County Crime Stoppers for information that leads to Cruz's’ arrest.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts has been asked to contact investigators referencing case number S-20-003 by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or submitting an anonymous tip online.
